Cool Cats, an NFT (non-fungible token) project based on Ethereum, have declared that it is going to shake hands with TIME (a prominent news magazine). Keith A. Grossman (the president of the magazine) suggested Cool Cats for a collaboration, at which the NFT Company shared a post indicating their acceptance. Mr. Grossman, who is already an advocate of the firm, figuratively noted in a tweet that he and his organization have a strong bond with the NFT Company. He added to his post a magazine cover from its issue of 7th December 1981, which was adorned with a cat’s picture.
Mr. Grossman elaborated that family friendliness, optimism, and positivity were the causes for their inclination toward the partnership. The Post of Cool Cats disclosed that the collaboration would operate for a short edition of NFTs. It further expressed that they had to manufacture something showing the front cover of the magazine; therefore, they took four distinct digital artworks containing cats studying TIME magazine. Moreover, the post stated, the firm has minted a cumulative amount of 400 artworks.
Setting off the meme competition
The collaboration sets up some sort of meme contest, including people from Cool Cats as well as beyond. The total winners of the contest will be up to 8. The competition was started on 13th August. Each winner will be given one out of the four main collaboration NFTs. Subsequently, the firm will give the left-over 392 NFTs to the remaining competitors. Only the holders of Cool Cats will be able to obtain the spare 392 NFTs. The closing date for the meme competition is 20th August.
The post ended by mentioning Polygon as the platform where the NFT pieces would be dropped. Nonetheless, the post pointed out, Polygon’s security has become questionable; thus, the company seeks the most suitable procedure for future operations.
TIME & crypto in history
The age of TIME magazine might be over 100 years; however, nobody can blame it for being fixed in history. In the current year, it has demonstrated its acceptance of the crypto world in more than one way. The partnership with Cool Cats does not count as its first venture in the space of NFTs. In March, it has already conducted an auction of three exceptional covers’ NFTs.
